Travel to Tucson

The city of Tucson is located in Southern Arizona, approximately 120 miles south of Phoenix, 400 miles east of San Diego, and 60 miles north of the Mexican border at Nogales.

Tucson International Airport (TUS) is served by most major airlines. Upon arrival at the airport, one can travel to the Conference Hotel by taxi (one-way fare approximately $30) or by taking the Arizona Stagecoach shuttle bus, for which reservations must be made in advance. To make reservations, please visit: If you choose to take the Arizona Stagecoach, their kiosk is located at the Baggage Claim area of the Tucson Airport.

It is sometimes possible to reduce the airfare by flying into Phoenix rather than Tucson, and then taking a surface shuttle bus for the remaining 90-minute ride to Tucson. The Arizona Shuttle leaves Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix roughly every hour between 6:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m., and can bring passengers to several drop-off points near the University of Arizona campus in Tucson, provided reservations are made at least several days in advance.
